A Moment In Time This collaborative project between TPCreative and META Design brings together wood crossarms from Taiwan Power Company (Taipower), which were used to hold up power lines for power transmission but are currently no longer in use, and META Design's classic bedside reading lamp, resulting in the birth of the jointly-developed WhimsE010 lamp. In order to show the process involved in transforming a retired wood crossarm into a WhimsE010 bedside reading lamp, we have specially created a conceptual installation artwork that showcases each of the hundred over steps the materials go through in the production process. These moments, frozen in time, allow the public to understand how a weathered and retired wood crossarm undergo a metamorphosis to become the exquisite lamps the public sees before their eyes. A wood crossarm has to be subjected to more than a hundred steps including rift-cutting, planing, digital carving, sanding, and oiling before it can be made into about 8 to 12 bedside reading lamps. This conceptual installation artwork freezes each moment of the production process to showcase every detail of every step that goes into the birth of the lamp.

Are there plans to showcase this artwork in public spaces or exhibitions to reach a wider audience? Regards Telkom University
