Formwork refers to a temporary mold into which concrete is poured and formed. Due to its low cost and flexibility, most construction sites in Taiwan currently use wooden panels for this purpose. Such wooden formwork can usually be reused numerous times, but one can commonly see huge quantities of wooden panels discarded due to heavy usage. We collect these unwanted wooden panels from jobsites, and after disassembly, nail removal, and experimentation, the rigid panels are “bent” into a “softened” form.
