CAVE Circle & CAVE Oval

in "Home Plan" version
In order to construct the residential buildings necessary for modern living, many old houses in Taiwan have been demolished. These old houses carry the memories of a generation's childhoods, and now only doors, windows, or wooden beams are left behind. The "Home Plan" aims to continue these memories by preserving construction materials or objects from these old houses before they are torn down, transforming or repurposing them to create lamps, furniture, or installations. This way, memories don't have to remain intangible; they can be preserved together with these objects.
These two lamps are among the works of the "Home Plan." They are crafted from the door panels salvaged from preserved Taiwanese old houses, with the wood carefully sliced into wood veneers, then bent in lamination into circle and oval shapes. The wall lamp can be placed in the entrance area, providing a space to hold small items like keys and wallets.
